Kindergarten Transition Day

So Davis has turned 5 and gets to go to Kindergarten this year.  The schools here have a day for just the kindergartners to go by themselves.  Davis got on the bus like a pro... didn't even say goodbye.  He loved it and excited for the real first day which is tomorrow!

My baby is growing up.  We came home from Utah and he no longer looked like a baby to me....  We celebrated his second birthday at home with Mummo and Papa.

Summer Fun!

We have had a great summer.  After we finished up swim team we headed out to Utah.  Our first two days were spent with Millie & Brian in Payson UT.  Then we headed up to Salt Lake.  We were able to go up Brighton and stay at my brothers wonderful cabin.  The kids absolutely LOVED it!!! On the way home we stopped in Denver and visited some friends who just moved there.

Last few weeks of School

The last few weeks of school are always the craziest...I don't know why but it feels like they save up all these things and then we do them all in a couple of weeks...

We had Davis' preschool graduation...






Alycia had her Wax Museum. She choose to Laura Ingalls Wilder. They all had to learn about the person they picked and give a speech about them every time someone came by and pushed their button.


Alycia also ran for student council and won!!!



Lillie had a jam session with Uncle Anton during an Ames Family FHE... She thought this was pretty cool!



Amy and Cal were able to fly out to Utah for her grandpa's funeral.  This is Cal with his cousin Ben... When we got home school was out and Summer had begun!


So far this summer we have performed in the Strawberry Festival...

The past weekend was spent performing in the Nutcracker. As many of you know this is a whole family affair. All the kids perform and we all help out with sets, music, anything that needs to be done. It is a lot of work but we love the experience and the kids love to perform!
Davis and Danny (his cousin) were inseperable during Nutcracker! They always have a great time together. We don't have a day go by without him asking for Danny to come and play!

Cal spent a lot of time in this position. He got really sick of pack n play! I also carried him around in a hiking backpack. He loved being able to see all the kids and I loved being able to have my hands free to change costumes, sets etc.

Funny Boys

Since school we find that we have a lot of time on our hands...

Cal LOVES to climb on everything, the couch, the chairs, the table, the counters... EVERYTHING! This was the first day he figured out how to do this but... Yes there is a but, he did not know how to get down. Me being the best mom ever I teach him a lesson. At least it is a funny lesson!

We recently had dentist appointments. Lillie finally will sit in the chair. She has overcome her fear and will let them actually look at her teeth, clean them, and give her the floride. Yea Lillie!

Park Days

We found a new park in Lee's Summit, thanks to the play group! The kids have had fun imagining they are pirates. Cal is constantly getting off the boat and someone has to "swim" over and rescue him!
